MEMBERSHIP LEVELS
PSJ operates on a two-tier membership model. There is one level for Basic/non-paid members and another for Premium/paid subscribers.
- [FREE!] BASIC MEMBERSHIP
The FIRST STEP to joining is becoming a Basic Member. Basic Membership at PlasticSurgeryJourneys.com is absolutely FREE. Simply registering will give you access to dozens of men and women who have already taken the journey you are on and can inform you about the good and bad of plastic surgery abroad. Basic members receive access to the very popular PSJ Forums and can post before and after photos in the PSJ gallery. However, Basic Membership is not without responsibility. To assure that we remain a strong community Basic Members must adhere to the 2-Week Posting Rule and post supportive, informative content in our PSJ Forums area at least once every two weeks to maintain membership. More information on Basic Membership, and it's benefits and responsibilities are below.
- PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
The FINAL STEP is upgrading your Basic Membership to a Premium Membership. If you are truly interested in taking advantage of the cost savings of plastic surgery abroad you'll need all of the tools and benefits PSJ has to offer in our Premium Membership upgrade. For $35.00 a year Premium Members enjoy a host of benefits including Private Messaging (where you can email a member without sharing your email address), Forums Search (where you can easily search through thousands of our members posts and experiences) and weekly Chat Room access (where you can talk directly with PSJ'ers in real time) - just a few examples of our ever expanding support. Premium Members also do not have any posting requirements and can post as little or as much as they wish. Further details of the membership levels are below. 2-Week Posting Rule
[Basic Members ONLY]

| It is not asking much to require that at a minimum Basic Members send a wish of good luck or happy healing to other members as they travel along their journey. It only takes a minute and helps assure others will be their for you when you need them. To make sure we do not have a community of "lurkers" (people who just consume information and do not provide any) we've developed the 2 Week Posting Rule
The 2 Week Posting Rule states that Basic Members must post at least once every 2 weeks to keep their PSJ membership active. If a Basic Member fails to meet this requirement his/her account will be suspended and their IP address logged (to prevent re-application). Suspended accounts are frozen for one month, only after which a Basic Member may apply to unfreeze their account.
Premium Members do not have to conform to this rule . If you are a suspended Basic Member and can not post on a regular basis, we encourage you to purchase a Premium subscription.
